Today's Thought

Just when you think you are pretty sure about people they will go and throw you back into confusion. The good thing is that everyone is scratching their head, not just me and my ADHD! :)

What's Next

With my newly diagnosed ADHD I often wonder:

Why?
I have missed out on so much!!
Where would I be had I know sooner?
What do I do now?

Then I remember that this is all God's plan. Although very frustrating at times it is all His plan and I just have to work with it and make the best of it. Now, that's not so bad after all! Life has been full of obstacles, some larger than others, but they have taught me a lot. I wouldn't change a thing because if I did I wouldn't have the knowledge I have.
In short: Thank you God for the daily challenges and for guiding me through them.

ADHD Everywhere!!!

When I was diagnosed I was relieved to know there was a reason for the ways of MY world. "Are there many like me?" I have constantly wondered. It turns out that this is a very common and REAL thing for a lot of different people from myself to teachers, doctors, lawyers, blue collar workers and so on. WOW! And so many just suspect it but never go and get answers and treatment. So, if you have a feeling, but are not diagnosed, I very highly suggest you take control of the situation that at times seems uncontrolable. Go see your Dr. You will be glad you did. I'm glad I did! Study this thing and learn about it as much as possible so that you know what to do for yourself and your family when the red flags of ADHD start showing.

Their Eyes Were Watching God

What a book!!!! I love this book so very much. I haved picked up SEVERAL books in my life, the majority of which I never finished, this one was an exception. I could feel what Janie was feeling through out the entire dialog. She did as she was told as a young woman to figure out love.........then she realized it cant be taught or suggested uppon (love and happiness that is). Janie is the lucky one, she had an idea in her mind of what it all boiled down to and she went for it. I say she's the lucky one for obvious reason also because her mind never changed. She never waivered in her feelings or thoughts. How nice a feeling that must be. True love is meant to be AMAZING, but that's just something ADHD doesn't seem to fully allow.......atleast not like in this book. A love like Janie ans Tea Cake had is something like a fairy tale, and not just any fairy tale, oh no, this is the fairy tale in which we all want to be the main charcter.
In short, take your prescribed daily dosage of stimulants and grab the first copy of this book you can find. You will not be disappointed!
